Why should we use Chevinside Publications as our web designers?

We are out to impress in what is a very competitive market. If we produce poor quality work and give a poor service - we will fail.

We aim our standard services at small to medium businesses who wish to have an Internet presence at a price that is cost effective (see below for details of how we keep costs low without compromising quality). Your business could be on the internet for as little as £50.

We do not charge for small updates. You wish to change a picture or contact details on your site? Send us the information or new picture and we will change it - no fuss, no hassle, no charge. We will charge for major updates such as redesign of the site or design of new graphics.

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the final version of your web site, we will delete it and no charge will be made - go ahead, try us, (applies to standard rate designs only).

How do you produce quality sites at such a low cost?

The most expensive part of web site design is the designer. We keep other overheads to a minimum and do not make site visits - discussion of content and design is done inexpensively via email or telephone. If you require a personal visit, we would discuss the charge at the time. We also ask you to provide the majority of the words and images. We will then optimise the text for search engines.

How do we order a site?

Contact us by email, telephone or post with a brief description of the nature of your business and the sort of image that you wish to project via the Internet. We will then select some possible designs and upload them to the internet on our testing server. You can then view these and decide which you would like. We can combine elements from different designs if you wish. If none of the designs are to your taste, we will repeat the process until one is found. This is part of the service and will not cost any extra.

When do we pay?

Your web site will be constructed and uploaded to our testing server. When you have viewed it and are happy with the design and content, we will order your domain name. It normally takes 24 - 48 hours for the domain name to become active on the internet. When your site is live, we will invoice you and will request payment in 21 days from the date the site goes live.

What marketing comes with our web site?

The standard packages include a first submission to some of the major search engines such as Google and Altavista. Should you require further marketing on the Internet, contact us to discuss requirements and pricing. See the bottom of our Services page for more details.
