Thanks for visiting Chevinside Publications services information page. We can provide you with a simple and cheap web site (see FAQ’s for details of how we keep costs low without compromising quality) or develop a totally unique site for your business. Alternatively, if you want to build or host a web site for yourself, click here. Great, you now have a web site, but who can find it? Very few people unless it is marketed online and offline. We do not deal with offline marketing but we offer several online marketing strategies (see the bottom of this page for details)

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the final version of your web site, we will delete it and no charge will be made - so go ahead, try us (applicable to standard level designs only).

Standard designs:

The ideal solution for a small business or sole trader who wants a decent quality web site that will not break the bank. These sites are search engine optimised but do not have any bells or whistles - the appearance is controlled using styles, we do not use templates unless requested by you, the client but they do not include the use of drop down menus, javascript etc. 

One page site	Multi-page web site
This contains up to 5 images and about 250 words of text, set out to your requirements. Text and images supplied by you. Price £75. If we host your site, the first year is free then £20 per subsequent year, including domain name renewal. Completion approx. one working week from receipt of your text and images. This type of site can always be expanded at a later date. New pages can be built and added at a cost of £45 per page.	Multiple page site, hosted at Chevinside. This contains up to 5 images and about 250 words of text per page. Maximum 5 pages. Text and images supplied by you. Price £249.  If we host your site, the first year is free then £20 per subsequent year including domain name renewal. Completion two to three working weeks from receipt of your text and images. This type of site can also be expanded at a later date. New pages can be built and added at a cost of £45 per page.
Custom design rates:
Our prices begin at £120 for state of the art web sites, we will control and optimise the site using cascading style sheets (css) and the html code will validate to current web standards. We can write the web site copy based on discussions with yourself and optimise graphics. We will design and integrate rollover navigation buttons, modify graphics, add databases, events calendars or content management systems (where you the client can modify your site without any knowledge of web programming). Additional pages will cost less. Once it is set up, your web site can cost very little to maintain. In many cases, just a few new orders will pay for your web site.

With all of our web design options, we will make occasional small updates to your site free of charge (such as adding links to other sites, altering a few sentences of text, changing an email address or graphic). Major updates will be charged, the cost depends upon the nature of the update.

Please contact us to discuss funding options if you need a club or charity web site. We offer free updating of your site and have a free hosting option. Your only ongoing cost would be renewal of the domain name each year.

The basic options do not include your domain name but do include the cost of the first year’s hosting on our web space. The price of your domain name is variable, depending on which tld (.co.uk, .com etc.) you choose.

Marketing

The prices do not include marketing of your web site. This is a time consuming and long term process. Our marketing packages start from a one-off £10 (for an appraisal and suggestions to improve optimisation of your home page) or from £30 regular monthly site promotion work, depending upon the level of service you require. If you are not in Google, we can get you there in 4-6 weeks for a one-off admin fee of £12.50.
